How does the Google Review Calculator work?
The calculator estimates how many additional 5-star reviews would be needed to move your current mathematical average toward a target rating.
Reviews Needed = Current Reviews × (Target Rating − Current Rating) ÷ (5 − Target Rating)
The result is rounded upward to the next whole review.
Example: 50 reviews, 4.2 current rating, 4.5 target
50 × (4.5 − 4.2) ÷ (5 − 4.5) = 30, so the estimate is 30 additional 5-star reviews.
